Avery Dennison Reports Growth in Second Quarter

Avery Dennison reported strong second-quarter 2026 results, with net sales increasing 10.9% to $2.5 billion, including 8.9% growth excluding currency impacts and 7.6% organic growth. Adjusted earnings per share rose 19.4% to $2.89, reflecting stronger-than-expected sales growth, margin expansion, and continued productivity improvements.
“We delivered very strong second quarter results, marked by stronger-than-anticipated sales growth, solid margin expansion and adjusted EPS of $2.89, reflecting the strength of our portfolio and our team’s execution excellence,” said Deon Stander, president and CEO.
The company's Materials Group, which includes label and packaging materials, posted 15.9% reported sales growth (11.5% excluding currency; 9.7% organic), driven by higher volumes and pricing. Adjusted operating margin improved to 15.8%, while adjusted EBITDA margin increased to 18.0%. The Solutions Group reported 2.6% organic sales growth, with adjusted operating margin improving to 11.5%.
Looking ahead, Avery Dennison reaffirmed its outlook for full-year 2026 reported EPS of $9.40-$9.70 and adjusted EPS of $10.00-$10.30, citing continued momentum across its portfolio, ongoing productivity initiatives, and disciplined capital allocation.
The company also has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.00 per share, payable on September 16, 2026 to shareholders of record on September 2, 2026.
