Alco Chemical has announced the promotion of John Cate to director of Sales, North America. Cate will report to Win Cooke, vice president, Alco Chemical. In his new position, Cate is responsible for continuing the growth of Alco's North American sales and further improving the company's Sales Customer Service Department. A 16-year veteran at Alco, Mr. Cate most recently was the company's National Sales manager. Other positions held by Cate include marketing manager for Detergents, Textiles and Pigments, North America, and technical sales representative. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1988.
