BETHESDA, Md. -- Join international peers, customers, manufacturers, end users and industry leaders at the 2002 ASC International Convention and Exposition, April 14-17, 2002, in Los Angeles.

As the largest trade association representing the North American adhesives and sealants industry, the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) will host this special international meeting with attendees expected from Asia (China, Japan, Taiwan), Canada, Europe, India and Latin America. The last ASC international meeting of this kind was held in the spring of 1996 in San Francisco.

The meeting will include six sessions with timely and important information on new global industry technologies and applications, including: the latest developments in sealants; cutting-edge technical issues and raw materials for waterbornes; industry case studies showing practical solutions to global environmental problems; what's next for industry technology and innovation; best practices in

e-commerce and global communications; and the changing face of doing business in the post-9/11 world, including a focus on security, disaster management, transportation, insurance and legislative/regulatory initiatives.

The meeting will feature worldwide representation by associations including: aniq (Mexico's national association of the chemical industry); ASMAC (Adhesive and Sealant Manufacturers Association of Canada); CNAIA (China National Adhesives Industry Association); FEICA (Association of European Adhesives Manufacturers); JAIA (Japan Adhesive Industry Association), and the Taiwan Synthetic Resin & Adhesive Industrial Association.
