Makers of OSB, MDF and particleboard can now make their own wax emulsion by using an in-house process that will significantly reduce costs over purchasing this key raw material from external suppliers, according to RHE America. The Illinois-based supplier has a wax emulsion system and the technical know-how to set panel plants up to make their own high-quality wax emulsions at savings of up to 30-50% and a payback of less than two years. The system includes RHE's own proprietary homogenizer, which is designed to produce a highly stable emulsion suited for panel manufacturing.
