SOCMA Acquires ChemAlliance from EPA (5/28/09)
The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA),
Washington, D.C., has announced the acquisition of ChemAlliance®, an online compliance
assistance center formerly funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) and designed to improve regulatory compliance of the chemical
manufacturing industry.
Through this acquisition, SOCMA has obtained the naming rights and full ownership of ChemAlliance. EPA will continue to serve in a technical advisory role with Battelle, which managed the site since 1996. SOCMA is currently rebuilding the center and enhancing it from its current form.
