Orlando, FL, will be the setting for the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC)’s 2009 Week of Learning, scheduled to take place May 11-15.

For more than 30 years, PSTC has presented the number-one event for technical information exchange in the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape industry. Researchers and developers worldwide will share their latest work on technical tape issues, including:
  • Processes
  • Materials
  • Technology
  • Test methods
  • Environmental
  • Applications
This year’s program includes a workshop, "The State of the Art in UV Cure for Tapes." Attendees will learn about the adhesive types and curing chemistries available today (and tomorrow), with examples presented covering all major suppliers; UV lamp technology; the practicalities of UV cure in a manufacturing environment; and the costs and economic viability of UV curing compared to tape-making methods in use today.

In addition, two Tape University courses will be offered. Tape University Basics is for those new to the PSA tape industry or who are working in sales, marketing, quality control or customer service throughout the tape channel - manufacturer, raw material supplier, distributor, converter, end user. The Tape University Advanced course is for technical staff members, such as scientists, R&D personnel and engineers, who require more in-depth information on the chemistry, physics, process, and engineering of manufacturing tape.

The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council is a North American trade association dedicated to building global alliances and bringing increasing value to its membership and the tape industry.
