Progressive Epoxy Polymers Inc., an Internet supplier of epoxy resins/coatings, urethanes, fillers and thickeners for commercial, residential, and marine use, now offers a water-based epoxy primer called Water PrimeTM.
Water Prime is a gray-pigmented, water-based (contains some solvent) epoxy with an easy 4:1mix ratio by volume.
Advantages of Water Prime include easy water clean-up, less dripping and sagging than solvent-free or solvent-based epoxies, and extremely long pot life.
Due to VOC restrictions, Water Prime cannot be sold in all parts of the country.
This product is sold in 40-ounce kits for $28 and one-gallon kits for $80.
