Brenntag Specialties Dedicates ACES Applications Lab
Brenntag Specialties, Inc. has dedicated a new ACES (Adhesives, Coatings, Elastomers and Sealants)
Applications Laboratory in North Wales, PA. Joe
Mulvey, Technical Development director, will oversee this new facility. In
addition, Yanmin Zhong, Ph.D., will work in the lab as ACES technical specialist.
The new applications laboratory will focus on starting-point formulations to provide customers an opportunity to commercialize their product offerings with minimal technical investment. Polymer development will also be accomplished to provide new options to the industry, including green resin systems with outstanding properties.
“Our goal is to assist customers in bringing new products to market faster, in response to rapidly changing environmental and consumer needs, and to promote unique, new products from our specialty suppliers,” Mulvey said. “Keys among new products are true ‘green’ resins-resins that are renewable in short time spans and, therefore, sustainable.”
