This company has released its first adhesion promoter supplied as a solution in reactive solvent 1, 4 butanediol. Chartwell G-515.71HR (70% active) is intended for use in 2K PU and 2K epoxy at levels of 0.35-1% based on total resin solids contained in part A + part B. When combined with the polyol (2K PU) or amine/amide hardener (2K epoxy), it will reportedly improve wet adhesion to CRS, aluminum and galvanized with attendant reduction in corrosion and blistering. It can also improve adhesion of coatings and adhesives to most plastics, concrete, wood, and elastomers.
