MINNESOTA ELASTOMERS: High-Temperature Tackifiers

RawMaterials.jpg
September 12, 2013

PB 404-44 is a new tackifier that can reportedly retain some tack to 750/800°F and maintains a seal within an autoclave for 5 minutes. Another recently developed product, PB 403-33, can retain tack to 600/650°F. Both products were tested in a laboratory equipped with a lab oven and were tested to high heat in their natural state. As the temperature increases after 500°F, some scorching and degeneration reportedly began for the PB 403 and 404 products.
