FLEXcon recently announced that it has certified DRUMcal™ 51932 2.3 mil white polypropylene for BS 5609 Section 2 for salt water immersion and BS 5609 Section 3 for print durability with multiple thermal transfer ribbons. Given the need for the industry to comply with Globally Harmonized Standard (GHS) requirements, FLEXcon has qualified DRUMcal 51932 with both black and red thermal transfer ribbons in an effort to create an offering that enables customers to print BS 5609 Section 2- and Section 3-compliant labels without incurring the cost of testing or taking the time required to obtain certification.
