Ashland Announces Price Increases for 1-4 Butanediol and Derivatives in the Americas and Europe
The increases are effective April 1, 2020, or as agreements allow.
Ashland recently announced that it is increasing prices on 1-4-butanediol (BDO) and several derivative products as follows:
- 1-4 butanediol (BDO)—$0.05/lb (€0.10/k)g
- gamma-butyrolactone (BLO®)—$0.05/lb (€0.15/kg)
- n-methyl-pyrrolidone (NMP)—$0.05/lb (€0.15/kg)
- tetrahydrofuran (THF)—$0.07/lb (€0.15/kg)
- 2-pyrrolidone (2PY)—$0.07/lb (€0.15/kg)
- n-hydroxyethyl-2-pyrrolidone (HEP)—$0.07/lb (€0.15/kg)
- n-cyclohexyl-2-pyrrolidone (CHP)—$0.07/lb (€0.15/kg)
