Mule-Hide Products Co. has added Clear to the color palette for JTS 1 joint and termination sealant, allowing contractors to quickly and easily complete projects that would otherwise require meticulous and time-consuming color matching. JTS 1 is a 100% solids, moisture-cure urethane joint and termination sealant that is ideal for use in applications where significant movement or vibration is expected. It adheres to dry and wet surfaces with no sagging or shrinking and minimal odor.

The sealant reportedly delivers excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, EPDM, PVC, wood, vinyl, and most other common building materials. TPO membranes must be primed with Mule-Hide Si TPO Primer before application of JTS 1.

The high solids content of JTS 1 eliminates shrinking and sagging. It can be used to seal larger joints—up to 2 inches wide and 1 inch deep—without the use of a backer rod. And when JTS 1 is applied to vertical surfaces, the bead stays in place, rather than oozing down the joint. Exceptional workability allows quick, easy application. A tack-free time of just 30 minutes further enhances efficiency. JTS 1 has minimal odor, and its volatile organic compound (VOC) content of less than 10 grams per liter makes its use allowable in areas with VOC restrictions.

The sealant is packaged in durable 10-ounce plastic cartridges. In addition to the new Clear, JTS 1 is available in White, Black, Bronze, Medium Bronze, Gray, Limestone, Tan and Terra Cotta.
