AkzoNobel has completed the acquisition of the wheel liquid coatings business of Lankwitzer Lackfabrik GmbH, a deal that strengthens the company’s performance coatings portfolio. The acquired business will expand AkzoNobel’s existing powder coatings offering as well as the range of products the company supplies. The deal was first announced in July 2022. 

Lankwitzer’s Rims and Wheel business operates out of a manufacturing site in Leipzig, Germany, and supplies approved products for car manufacturers, such as Daimler, Audi, VW, Opel, Fiat, and Renault. The business also has a growing presence in China and operates laboratories in Germany and Türkiye.
