G. Wygonik has extensive experience in engineering, analysis, project
management and policy development in the areas of risk management, security
vulnerability assessment, threat assessment, and consequence analysis. He has
worked in areas such as critical infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing,
food and agriculture. As division chief - Risk Analysis, Wygonik heads the
CFATS initiative at KCI Protection Technologies.
On April 9, 2007, the Department of Homeland Security issued
the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards Regulation Interim Final Rule
(CFATS). This regulation was a result of
the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations Act of 2007, which
provided DHS the authority to regulate chemical facility security throughout
the country.
