Tracking where the ARRA dollars are going.

Want to know where all that stumulus bill money is going? Despite the plea of transparency from the new administration, the site Recovery.gov shows little more than press releases and generic statistics on where the ARRA funds are being allocated. However, many U.S. states have posted on their Web sites a breakdown of where all the dollars are being allocated. For example, Michigan, which has been hit hard by the recession, has posted a Web site tracking stimulus bill money, with an interactive map that allows users to click on a county and see how the money is being used.

In addition, the site Recovery.org has a nice breakdown of where the money is being used, how much money is being used, and the number of jobs created.

We’d like to hear your story. Have you applied for stimulus funding for a project? Or are you still researching the process? Please leave a comment below or send e-mail to mcphersont@bnpmedia.com.
