Adoption of the Metric System
Presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee recently said that it’s time for the U.S. needs to adopt the metric system. In last week's poll, we asked if you agree that it's time to adopt the metric system.
A majority of respondents (70%) believe it is time for the U.S. to adopt the metric system. 26% of participants replied “No,” and 4% were unsure.
One reader commented, “Absolutely yes! It's almost disgraceful that the U.S. hasn't yet adopted the metric system. This is long overdue!”
Another participant said, “Yes, as long as we can keep the pint.”
