Show Conference

The European Coatings Show Conference will offer presentations on the latest industry trends. Coatings formulators will learn about the newest formulations and process and equipment technology while they network and exchange experiences with other professionals in their field. Topical issues will include up-to-date information about the shortage of raw materials and rising raw material costs. One session is devoted to the results of an international research partnership funded by the EU. The Decoat Project is developing a solution to facilitate the use of textiles and plastic components with (multilayer) coatings according to the closed-loop recycling principle. The opening keynote will be given by Wijnand Bruinsma from Akzo Nobel, who will speak on “The role of paints and coatings in a sustainable future.”

Nine pre-conference tutorials on Sunday, March 26, will quickly bring newcomers within the field up to speed. Topics of these tutorials include functional coatings, formulating adhesives and sealants, understanding biocides and the latest regulations, polyurethane coatings, dispersing pigments and fillers — theory to practice, basics of architectural coatings, fundamentals of color and appearance, application processes in coatings, and basics of anti-corrosive coatings. .

The conference will also offer networking opportunities where professionals can share their experiences and expertise with colleagues. At the end of the first day, a reception will provide additional time for networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Additionally, the best conference submission will be recognized with the European Coatings Show Award.
