Lohmann Receives EcoVadis Silver Medal

Adhesive tape provider Lohmann GmbH & Co. KG has yet again been awarded the silver medal from EcoVadis. This award places the company in the top 15 % of the world's most sustainable companies rated by EcoVadis.  

"At a time when the requirements and assessment criteria by EcoVadis have become more stringent, this award confirms our commitment to sustainability and our continuous efforts to promote responsible business practices," said Katharina Candia Avendaño, head of Sustainability at Lohmann. The fact that EcoVadis only recognizes the top 15 % of rated companies with the silver medal further highlights the importance of this recognition and underlines Lohmann's leading role in the industry in implementing sustainable and ethical business practices.  

EcoVadis evaluates companies based on their performance in the areas of environmental protection, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. "This renewed recognition by EcoVadis is a clear sign that our strategic sustainability initiatives are effective and have a positive impact. It motivates us to continue improving our processes and products and to develop innovative, sustainable solutions," said Candia Avendaño.  

Lohmann is determined to continue its sustainability efforts. The "Lohmann BEYOND 2026" initiative forms the strategic foundation of the company until 2026. With sustainability as one of the three central strategic pillars, Lohmann is pursuing the goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2035. This includes investments in green energy, the circular economy and solvent-free and bio-based adhesive solutions. Being awarded the EcoVadis silver medal confirms Lohmann's commitment to developing innovative solutions that contribute to making the industry more sustainable.
