The Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) announced that Azelis Americas headquartered, in Westport, Connecticut, is the recipient of the 2024 Responsible Distribution™ Excellence Award. The announcement was made at ACD’s annual ChemEdge conference.
Each year, ACD recognizes a company that demonstrates an unwavering commitment to ACD’s Responsible Distribution, the Alliance’s mandatory, third-party-verified environmental, health, safety, and security program. “Azelis Americas not only follows the tenets of Responsible Distribution, but they truly embody its core principle of continuous improvement,” said Caroline Brooks, senior director of Responsible Distribution.
“Azelis has demonstrated a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards through its reporting tools, safety videos, employee engagement, and real-time tracking,” Brooks continued. “By fostering a collaborative safety initiative with specific safety committees, inspections, and open forums for employees, the company drives continuous improvement at the regional, national, and global levels. - Using artificial intelligence voiceover to create content on specific SOPs, emergency plans, and visitor safety.
- Debuting monthly “SHEQ Talks!” training videos for employees on various topics.
- Holding top industry rankings from SustainabilityESG and an EcoVadis Gold rating.
- Tracking Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions monthly, with third-party audits for accuracy.
