Omya Expands Partnership with TIB Chemicals
Specialty materials distributor and producer of essential minerals Omya announced a distribution agreement with TIB Chemicals Corp. in the United States. The agreement became effective August 1, 2024.
Omya now represents TIB Chemicals Corp. as the exclusive distributor of its organotin and tin-free catalyst product lines for the CASE markets. TIB Chemicals’ catalysts are used in a variety of CASE applications utilizing polyurethane, silicone, and silane-terminated chemistries that are synergistic with Omyabond®, calcium carbonate and other distribution specialty chemicals.
Omya Specialty Materials distributes products from more than 20 warehouses in North America and will offer TIB Chemicals’ catalysts from multiple warehouse locations across the United States.
Tim Streb, director of Omya Distribution Services North America, explained, “Omya has a strong position in the CASE market with multiple laboratories to support both our customers and suppliers. The addition of TIB Chemicals’ product line fits in well with our strategy as a solutions provider and offers another opportunity to service our customers with our technical expertise.”
