Bodo Möller Chemie Group Names Executive Assistant and Global Vice President Plastics

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has welcomed Dr. Christian Battenberg as the new executive assistant and global vice president, plastics. Battenberg’s position became effective February 1, 2025. As executive assistant and global vice president, plastics, he will drive the strategic development of the company and further expand its market position in the areas of CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers), plastics, textile, and additives lubricants.
Battenberg brings with him extensive expertise in polymer chemistry as well as many years of international experience in research, development, and global business development. After studying chemistry with a focus on polymer chemistry at the University of Darmstadt, he completed his doctorate there in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF and Airbus. In the following eight years at Clariant, he held various global leadership roles, including global market segment manager for Thermosets and global business development manager for Polymer Solutions.
Battenberg will use this expertise to drive forward the strategic development of Bodo Möller Chemie's product portfolio. In particular, the focus will be on adapting to future market requirements, developing new suppliers, and expanding partnerships. He will also help to strengthen the company's competitiveness and make optimum use of internal synergies.
