New Resbond™ 940LE bonds a high-performance quartz lamp.
The Resbond™ 940 Customizable Series offers economical, fast-setting ceramic adhesives designed to solve all high-temperature bonding, sealing, or encapsulating applications with continuous use to 2800 ºF. Simply match the grade of Resbond 940 with the physical properties of the substrate for superior adhesion to quartz, cordierite, fused silica, glassware, ceramics, and metals.
Resbond 940LE is a low expansion, quartz based, fast cure adhesive. This adhesive is suitable for bonding and potting quartz lamps, glassware, fiber cables or any other low-expansion materials.
Resbond 940SS is a 316 stainless steel base, fast curing adhesive with excellent adhesion and heat resistance. This 2000 ºF stainless steel adhesive bonds, repairs, and seals high-temperature equipment. It is machinable and resistant to most chemicals and solvents.
Resbond 940HT is a specially formulated, ultra-high temperature alumina adhesive that can be heated continuously to 2800ºF. It is resistant to liquid metals, most chemicals, and solvents, oxidizing and reducing atmospheres.
Resbond 940HE is a silica filled adhesive for bonding and encapsulating high-expansion materials. Applications include bonding, sealing, and insulating light bulbs, fixtures, halogen lamps, fiber optic cables, and sensors; encapsulating industrial heating elements; forming electrically resistant coatings for high-temperature Instruments; and joining heating elements to electrical terminals. Cures in 4-8 hours at room temperature or in 5 minutes at 175 ºF.
