The Jowat Group has published its latest sustainability report covering the years 2023 and 2024. The report outlines the progress achieved by the family-owned enterprise since 2020 in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG) and outlines the company’s goals for the current year.

Key topics in the report include:

Products for tomorrow: Jowat’s objective is to manufacture high-quality adhesives, which facilitate durable bonded end products. In light of climate change and the loss in biodiversity, the company is responsible for ensuring that its business activities are more sustainable. Jowat does this by, for example, developing adhesives with a high content of renewable raw materials or product solutions for wood-based construction.

More resource-conserving manufacturing: At Jowat, the responsible use of resources in production is part of day-to-day operations. Quality, environmental protection and energy efficiency have been laid down as corporate goals in the company’s guidelines. They provide clear orientation for all employees at Jowat and help to anchor responsible action within the corporate culture.

Responsible procurement practices and supply chains: Jowat takes responsibility for the ecological and social impacts of its operations — not only at its own facilities but throughout the supply chain. The enterprise is committed to responsible sourcing of goods and services, with the goal of having the majority of its suppliers formally agree to Jowat’s code of conduct by the end of 2025.
