Chemical company WACKER announced that due to “significant distortions in the commodity market worldwide” caused by the recent military conflict in the Middle East, the prices for “oil, natural gas, raw materials, and logistics have significantly risen.” According to the company, WACKER’s global polymers business is especially affected by this development.
In response to these higher raw material and freight costs, WACKER is significantly raising its prices for polymer dispersions, resins, and dispersible polymer powders. The price increases will become effective from April 1, 2026. WACKER reports that the extent of the necessary price adjustment depends on where the respective product is sourced and on existing contractual agreements. Primarily products sourced at WACKER’s production sites in Europe and Asia are affected by the increase.
