TruArc Partners, a private equity firm focused on middle-market investments in business services and specialty manufacturing, has acquired Matrix Adhesives from Goldner Hawn. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Matrix provides advanced adhesive and sealant solutions, offering a broad range of products for renovation and construction, industrial, commercial, and specialty applications. The company’s formulation expertise and specialty packaging capabilities enable it to deliver branded, proprietary, and private-label solutions across diverse end markets. Matrix is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, with five additional manufacturing facilities in the United States and one in Canada.

TruArc Partners has prior experience investing in specialty manufacturing businesses and partnering with management teams to accelerate organic and inorganic growth strategies. Dennis (“DJ”) Johnson will remain in his role as CEO of the company and Rich Rowe, former president & CEO of Arkema North America, will join Matrix as the non-executive chairman of the Board of Directors.
