Evonik has inaugurated the expansion of its specialty amine production facility in Nanjing, China. The investment strengthens the company’s capability to supply innovative amine‑based additives for polyurethane and epoxy applications, supporting future market development and advancing the company’s long‑term global strategy.
Asia in general and China in particular are important growth markets for Evonik, driven by ongoing consumption upgrades and a shift toward more sustainable solutions across diverse applications. In this evolving market landscape, advanced materials such as polyurethane foams and epoxy curing agents play an increasingly important role. Beyond serving Asia, the enhanced production capabilities for the specialty amine portfolio strengthen the company’s global manufacturing network and its access to raw materials.

The Nanjing plant is now equipped for commercial‑scale manufacturing of advanced reactive specialty amines tailored for high‑performance polyurethane and epoxy applications facing increasingly stringent emission standards.
