Kraton Corp., a global producer of specialty polymers and high-value bio-based chemicals derived from pine wood pulping co-products, recently announced a global price increase of up to 25% on crude tall oil (CTO)-derived products and turpentine-based resins.
Earlier in the year, the company announced a global price increase for all polymer products. The increase will ranged from $ 440/MT to $ 700/MT, or as contracts allow, depending upon polymer type and production location.
When announcing the earlier price increases, the company cited sharp and sustained increases in costs of raw materials, energy, and freight, attributable to market instability emanating from the current geopolitical situation.
