North Carolina Department of Labor Recognizes Shurtape Technologies for Safety
Shurtape Technologies LLC announced that several of its facilities have received the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL) Safety Awards for 2025 safety performance. This year, the company’s facilities received seven gold awards and one silver award.
Administered through the NCDOL’s Education, Training and Technical Assistance Bureau of the Occupational Safety and Health Division, the Annual Safety Awards program recognizes private and public firms that achieve and maintain good safety records. To qualify for a safety award, companies must maintain an incident rate of at least 50% below their industry average. According to the NCDOL, the program is designed to stimulate interest in accident prevention and promote safety in the workplace safety by providing employers and employees with an incentive to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Gold awards were given to the following Shurtape facilities:
- Catawba Manufacturing (Catawba, North Carolina), second consecutive year
- Stony Point Manufacturing (Stony Point, North Carolina), third consecutive year
- Catawba Distribution Center (Catawba, North Carolina), fourth consecutive year
- Headquarters (Hickory, North Carolina), sixth consecutive year
- R&D (Hickory, North Carolina), eighth consecutive year
- Administrative Building (Hickory, North Carolina), 13th consecutive year
- Traffic Department (Catawba, North Carolina), 16th consecutive year
Shurtape’s Hudson manufacturing facility in Hudson, North Carolina, received the Silver Award.
