BYK Unveils New Laboratory in China

BYK held an inauguration ceremony in mid-July for its new laboratory facilities at the South China New Material Industrial Park in Guangzhou, China. According to BYK, the investment allows the company to further expand its technical service capabilities in southern China and strengthen its support for local customers by providing application-specific expertise.
The laboratory space has grown from 150 m² to 280 m² and is equipped with a range of instruments for testing various coating systems. The company reports that the range of services will gradually expand to include additional application areas, such as adhesives, printing inks, and materials for new energy materials. Currently, the laboratory supports testing of water-based, solvent-based, and 100% systems, as well as analyses in the areas of leveling, rheology, dispersion, and defoaming.
