IFX Technologies GmbH, Leipzig, Germany, has launched as a new European DeepTech company for functional fluid technologies in demanding industrial processes. Building on its intelligent fluids® technology platform, an extensive IP portfolio, existing customer relationships, and an experienced team, IFX Technologies is focused on further technological development and international scaling.
At the core of the company is the proprietary IFX Technology Platform – a patented generation of functional multiphase fluids. Its high degree of variability allows the fluids to be precisely tailored to different materials, processes, and industrial requirements, enabling highly effective and selective cleaning and separation processes. This provides a profitable and sustainable alternative to conventional solvent-based processes.
Applications include material separation processes such as the removal of paints and coatings and adhesives and resins, as well as other demanding cleaning processes involving oils and greases and process-related organic contaminants. The water-based, pH-neutral, non-flammable, and readily biodegradable fluids significantly reduce process times, energy consumption, and total cost of ownership, combining technological efficiency with measurable economic and environmental benefits.
The IFX technology has already been qualified by leading semiconductor and industrial companies in Europe and is in series production use. Its application spectrum ranges from highly specialized processes such as photoresist stripping and metal lift-off in the semiconductor industry to industrial maintenance applications and the cleaning of production equipment and heat exchangers in the energy and chemical industries.
At the same time, increasing regulatory pressure on conventional chemicals and solvents worldwide is accelerating the shift toward economically viable alternatives and creating additional growth opportunities for IFX Technologies.
