EPOXYSET INC.: Adhesives for Endoscope Manufacturing
Epoxyset introduced two new adhesives formulated for use in endoscopy, specifically for lens bonding and encapsulation on the camera of endoscopes. Epoxibond EB-125RT-END and EB-125LV-CR exhibit superior strength and chemical resistance when compared to traditional epoxies used for endoscopes. These products are currently waiting for ISO 10993 certificates for cytotoxicity.
EB-125RT-END is a two-component, epoxy system that offers high chemical and water resistance and can cure at elevated temperatures or at room temperature.
A two-component system, EB-125LV-CR offers a hardness of D-86 and lap shear strength of 2000 psi. Cure time is 24-48 hours at 25° C or two hours at 65° C.
