Oxea Announces Price Increases for Carboxylic Acids and Specialty Esters

Oxea announced that it will increase prices for a range of carboxylic acids and specialty esters effective immediately, or as contracts allow. The company attributed the increases to significant and sustained increases in raw material, energy, and supply chain costs, as well as ongoing supply and demand volatility.
In Europe, prices for n-butyric acid, isobutyric acid, and 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase by €150/mt. Prices for 3-methylbutyric acid, 2-methylbutyric acid, n-valeric acid, and isononanoic acid will increase by €100/mt. Pelargonic acid, OXSOFT 3G8, OXFILM 351, and OXLUBE L9-TMP will increase by €130/mt.
In North America, prices for n-butyric acid, isobutyric acid, and 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase by $0.08/lb. Prices for 3-methylbutyric acid, 2-methylbutyric acid, n-valeric acid, and isononanoic acid will increase by $0.05/lb. Pelargonic acid, OXSOFT 3G8, OXFILM 351, and OXLUBE L9-TMP will increase by $0.07/lb.
For the rest of the world, prices for n-butyric acid, isobutyric acid, and 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase by $170/mt. Prices for 3-methylbutyric acid, 2-methylbutyric acid, n-valeric acid, and isononanoic acid will increase by $115/mt. Pelargonic acid, OXSOFT 3G8, OXFILM 351, and OXLUBE L9-TMP will increase by $150/mt.
