H.B. Fuller has launched Kōfinity™, a new product portfolio platform based on the company’s 4SG technology for insulating glass (IG) applications. The portfolio reestablishes the existing technology under an elevated category of fusion bonded spacers while providing a platform for new IG technologies engineered for durability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance. According to H.B. Fuller, more than 100 million square meters of its 4SG technology have been installed worldwide, with 99.9% of those installations still performing.
Kōfinity fusion bonded spacers form a molecular bond with glass during the IG manufacturing process rather than relying on mechanical or surface-level adhesion. Applied with robotic precision, the spacer fuses directly to the glass and, when applicable, the secondary silicone seal, forming a continuous barrier designed to eliminate common IG failure points and achieve improved thermal performance. H.B. Fuller plans to expand the Kōfinity portfolio with additional products designed to address evolving customer needs and performance requirements.
