Under the terms of the agreement, Herbert Schmidt GmbH will take over the sales, marketing and support activities for Digitaltest's C-Link concurrent engineering automation software and QMAN quality management software for the electronics manufacturing industry, while Digitaltest will continue to handle product development and enhancements as well as customization. C-Link automatically recovers CAD (computer aided design), BOM (bill of materials), and CAE (computer aided engineering) schematics into a neutral database, and generates optimized setups and programs for production machines, as well as fixture designs and circuit description files for testers. The Senior Management Team of Herbert Schmidt GmbH, namely Herbert Schmidt (president) and Wolfgang Reuber (vice president), have several decades of experience in the distribution of solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry, with a strong commitment to customer support.
