Specialty Polymers, Inc., an Oregon-based manufacturer of chemical compounds used in glues, paints, inks and coatings, has announced the promotion of Sheryl Southwell to president of the company. Southwell, who moves up from vice president, will oversee all operations. Company founder Raymond Southwell has also been promoted, from president to CEO and chairman of the board. Ray Southwell founded Specialty Polymers in 1969 and served as its president for 35 years. In his new role, he will continue to play an active role in the company, particularly in the technical development of new products, as well as corporate decision-making.
