The drive head stroke length on Amacoil/Uhing Model RG linear drive assemblies may now be adjusted using optional remote control knobs located outside of the pillow block end supports, at the end of the stop rods. Turning the knobs causes the end stops to move apart or together. The position of the end stops determines the drive head reversal points, thereby setting the stroke length. Operators need not adjust any other controls in order to quickly change and fine-tune stroke length. The process may be accomplished while the system is in operation, which helps streamline production processes and improve efficiency. Operator safety is enhanced because the control knobs are located on the outside of the assembly supports, away from moving parts. The stop rods with control knobs may be extended to facilitate designs where access to the adjustable end stops is restricted - for example, where the drive assembly is inside an enclosure or behind a control panel.
