WASHINGTON — The Commercial Development Association (CDA) and the Chemical Management and Resources Association (CMRA) officially joined together on July 1, 1999, to create a new organization called the Commercial Development and Marketing Association (CDMA).

The CDMA is dedicated to promoting growth and value creation in the chemical and allied industries through educational workshops, business conferences, networking forums and other activities. The first meeting of the new organization is September 26-29, 1999, at the Hyatt Resort, Hilton Head, S.C. The topic of the meeting is “Drivers for Growth in the 21st Century: Chemicals and Life Sciences.”
