DOW AUTOMOTIVE NAMES BUSINESS DIRECTOR OF PLASTICS AND FLUIDS

Jerry Pritchett has been named business director of Plastics and Fluids for Dow Automotive, Auburn Hills, MI. In addition to assuming responsibility for development and implementation of global strategy and profitability, Pritchett will also be a member of the Dow Automotive Leadership Team. Bernie Defreitas has been appointed product market manager for North American Glass and Plastic Bonding, Small Packing within Dow Automotive. He will be responsible for the implementation of the business strategy and management of financial results for this business group that extends Dow Automotive glass bonding and structural adhesives expertise into the automotive aftermarket.

FORBO ANNOUNCES NEW CFO

Forbo, Eglisau, Switzerland, has announced the appointment of Jörg Riboni to the position of chief financial officer for the company, effective in the first half of 2006. Riboni succeeds Gerold A. Zenger, who will become the deputy and CEO of Forbo, assuming responsibility for the Corporate Services business unit on Jan. 1, 2006. Riboni brings to Forbo extensive internal experience in both industry and finance. His most recent assignment was with Swiss-based Sarna Kunststoff Holding AG, where he assumed the role of both CFO and Deputy CEO. In addition to being named CFO of Forbo, Riboni has also been made a member of the company's Group Executive Board.

HENKEL NAMES R&D MANAGER OF LIQUID EPOXY PRODUCTS

Henkel has promoted Gary Shi to the position of technical manager for the research and development of Liquid Epoxy products. In his new position at the electronics group of Henkel, Shi will assume direct responsibility for the product development of liquid products for the electronics industry, including epoxies, encapsulants, underfills, adhesives and sealants.

ROHM AND HAAS APPOINTS NEW ADHESIVES & SEALANTS GM

Rohm and Haas Co., Philadelphia, has appointed Cheryl Martin to the position of North American Region general manager for Adhesives and Sealants. Martin will assume the former duties of Mark Douglas, who was recently voted vice president and Procurement director for Rohm and Haas by its board of directors.

SARTOMER ANNOUNCES ASIA DIVISION, APPOINTS GM

Sartomer Co., Exton, PA, has announced the expansion of its operations in the Asia/Pacific region with the formation of the Sartomer Asia division and the appointment of the new division's general manager. David Long, the company's former vice president of finance and Asia, will lead the new Sartomer Asia division as general manager. Long will be based in Hong Kong and is responsible for the division's business development operations.
