UNIVAR ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF MARNIC PLC
Univar N.V., Rotterdam, The
Netherlands, has announced the acquisition of Marnic Plc through RW Greeff
(RWG), Univar’s Industrial Consumables Division. Marnic Plc is a specialist
distributor of tape and protection products for construction sectors based in
London.
The acquisition reinforces Univar’s overall business specialist positioning in the industrial consumables market. In addition, the new combination creates synergies that will greatly accelerate the rate of revenue growth of Univar business, ensure better geographical coverage and allow growth of business in mainland Europe.
The Marnic business and brand will continue to operate as a separate trading entity, building value within the combined operation.
