Cytec Industries Inc. recently announced the launch of DUROXYN^® VEF 2406 barrier primer and DUROXYN^® EF 2107 liquid coating resins. These products represent a new technology for highly effective tannin blocking coatings without the use of expensive reactive pigments. These resins provide a platform for fast-drying coatings with excellent recoat properties. The coatings are below 100 g/L VOC and still match or exceed performance properties of conventional solvent-borne tannin blocking primers.
