A number of special guests were invited to the celebration, including Qingdao governmental officials and Huber’s national and international dental silica customers.  The opening ceremony was followed by plant tours that allowed guests to get an up-close look at the equipment and processes used in silica production.  In addition to the opening ceremony event, Huber hosted a technical seminar that focused on the performance characteristics of the complete portfolio of Huber’s Zeodent®dental silicas, which are produced at Qingdao.

The Qingdao plant will produce over 40,000 metric tons of precipitated dental silica annually and enable Huber to more effectively serve its growing customer base in the Asia Pacific region.
