WACKER: Silicone Adhesive
This company has
introduced SILPURAN® 2149 UV, an adhesive for wound care that cures
to a soft, elastic adhesive material. The pourable, two-component,
addition-curing system contains an ultraviolet (UV)-sensitive catalyst; irradiation
with UV light converts this catalyst into its active form, at which time the
crosslinking reaction begins. Curing time can be individually set by controlling
the UV radiation dose and the process temperature.
