Mapei Group recently announced it has completed the acquisition of all activities regarding adhesives and products for the building industry carried out by Henkel in South Korea under the Ceresit and Thomsit trademarks. The acquisition was made through a new company, Mapei Korea, which now has head offices in Seoul and a production facility in Chungcheongbuk-do, which is 100 km from Seoul. Mapei Korea will continue to produce under the trademark Ceresit and Thomsit for a maximum of three years.

Through this acquisition, Mapei intends to strongly increase its presence in South Korea, one of the most technologically advanced countries on the global scene, and create a production base for the North Pacific zone.
