Gelest Announces Product Manager Appointments
Gelest Inc. has promoted Edward Kimble to product manager, Silicones, and Barbara Tsuie, Ph.D., to product manager, Silanes and Metal-Organics. Both report to Joel Zazyczny, vice president of Silanes, Silicones & Metal-Organics.
Kimble is responsible for the development of new business for Gelest’s polymeric materials. He joined Gelest in 1998 in the company’s development group. He most recently headed the Silicone R&D Group, working to develop new siloxane-based polymers. Kimble holds a patent in silicone macromers and has made multiple presentations on the subject.
As product manager, Silanes and Metal-Organics, Tsuie is responsible for the development of new business for the company’s functional and non-functional alkyl silane compounds, as well as its range of metal-organic compounds for materials, polymers, and synthesis. She joined Gelest after a 10-year tenure at Equistar Chemicals (now LyondellBasell) and has earned 12 patents in the field of olefin polymerization.
