LORD Corp. recently announced that chairman and former CEO Rick McNeel has been recognized for his contributions to the United Way of the Greater Triangle. McNeel led the 2012 fundraising campaign for the United Way of the Greater Triangle; under his leadership, the campaign raised $5.3 million of donor-designated funds and $5.3 million of community impact funds.

The community impact funds amassed under McNeel will reportedly help the United Way of the Greater Triangle’s nonprofit agencies expand and improve education, health and financial stability programs. In its 2013 Community Impact Plan, the organization has designated $1,889,676 in contributions to education and youth development, $2,680,135 to health and $699,384 to financial stability.       

McNeel was honored at the United Way of the Greater Triangle breakfast on March 12.
