This company has expanded its line of MACbond™ rubber double-coated tapes with the addition of MACbond foam bonding tape.

An economical, cost-effective foam-bonding solution, the tape features an aggressive adhesive that is specially designed to bond to a variety of challenging surfaces, such as polyether and polyester urethane foams. Typical applications include die-cut foam and rubber gasketing materials, low-surface-energy materials, and other difficult-to-adhere-to gasket and cellular materials.

“Our trusted MACbond products are engineered for the most demanding bonding applications, and the new MACbond Foam Bonding Tape was developed specifically out of customer demand for a strong, reliable foam bonding solution at an economical cost," said Janet Page, marketing manager.

A double-faced tape that has a 0.5-mil clear polyester (PET) film carrier, the tape is available with either an 80# super calendered kraft (SCK) paper liner (FBT380W60) or a 60# SCK paper liner (FBT360W60). Both liners provide strength and dimensional stability for optimum handling through various die-cutting processes. The liner side of the tape is coated with Mactac's XT high-performance rubber adhesive.
