Henkel Adhesive Technologies recently announced that the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C. (SIPO) has granted China Patent No. CN 203525578 U, relating to a fluid dispensing system that provides precision ratio metering and fluid flow shut-off of a mixed fluid.

The technology reportedly facilitates the precise metering of two fluids to form a mixture such as an epoxy, acrylate, polyurethane, or silicone to be used as an adhesive. The patented technology provides for exact metering of the two components in precise ratios, resulting in the desired adhesive chemical composition. The invention reportedly solves the problems of inaccurate ratio dispensing and “drooling” or dripping of the fluid when flow stops. This is achieved through the combined use of a volumetric displacement, dual rotor pump for metering two fluids, and an anti-drip valve for precisely controlling the fluid shut-off.
