Kuraray America Inc. recently announced the opening of a $300 million, 81-acre, greenfield Kuraray Poval^™ plant in Pasadena, Texas.

The new plant reportedly will produce 40,000 metric tons of PVOH annually and employ nearly 100 employees: 54 Kuraray employees and 40 contract personnel.
