In light of Hurricane Matthew’s recent impact on the Fayetteville, N.C., community, Kuraray America Inc. recently announced it has donated $10,000 and a refrigerated trailer to the Second Harvest Foodbank. Kuraray has a production facility in Fayetteville with over 100 employees from the area. The Second Harvest Foodbank serves seven counties in the Fayetteville area and has delivered over 1.4 million lbs of food this month. The refrigerated trailer will reportedly assist with food deliveries around the community

“We hope that this donation is the beginning of a strong partnership with Kuraray and Second Harvest,” said Ross Crews, plant manager. “Many of our employees know the devastation of flooding first hand, and hope that this donation can help people get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”
